About Us

Haapasaari is located by the lake Näsijärvi in scenic Ruovesi, approximately 70 km north from Tampere, 230 km from Helsinki and 350 km from Lappeenranta. Haapasaari provides caravan and camping area with showers and laundry services, piers, restaurant and cafe, traditional outdoor dancing floor, plenty of saunas etc. High class cottages (including sauna, toilet, shower, cooker, fridge, microwave, tableware and separated bedroom)round the year. During summertime reasonable summer cottages are rented as well.

Rowing boats, canoes, bicycles,fishing equipment, engines, kick sleds and snowshoes are for rent. Kids appreciate our beach and playing ground'Lighthouse'. Other activities are numerous: minigolf, excellent jogging and cross-country skiing tracks nearby, hiking opportunities in National Park Helvetinjärvi and Siikaneva, just to mention a couple. The amusement park Särkänniemi as well as animal park in Ähtäri are within a reasonable distance, Finland´s biggest village shop Keskinen is about 80 km away.
